Through the 1k mark Gromniak has continued his push, and Bertschinger has gone through Byford and Boyer into second. Gromniak seems too far in front to be caught with 750 to go. Jinks and Nucci have now joined the fight for 2nd, and Jinks Nucci and Bertshinger flooring it to the line with 250 to go. Nucci (Queens Mary BC) nips into 2nd, but Bertshinger (Leeds Met Uni) holds him, Jinks cannot hold on. It finishes Gromniak 1st, Nucci 2nd and Bertshinger 3rd.
